CRP Compose Report

Render an organisation's Carbon Reduction Plan to PDF, with a human sign-off gate before the final document is written.

No reviews yet 0 installs
Composes the eight-section Carbon Reduction Plan -- Methodology, Emissions Breakdown, Current Emissions Footprint, Science-Based Targets, Baseline Year, Adopted Scenario, Carbon Reduction Projects, References and Glossary -- from crp-data.json and crp-initiatives-contextualised.json, already assembled, selected and contextualised by upstream skills. Runs the bundled compose_report.py, which builds the document as HTML with its print stylesheet inlined and validates every figure it prints against the source data before converting it to PDF through the broker's wine2o2 (Gotenberg/Chromium). Produces a draft PDF for review, waits for an explicit approve/reject decision, and only then renders the final PDF and markdown carrying the Declaration and Sign Off section. Never writes a final document before sign-off, and never states or implies how much carbon a selected initiative would save.

  • v3 # Changelog ## 1.2.0 Chart colours now come from the report's own stylesheet rather than a second copy kept in step by hand, so changing a colour changes the prose, the tables and the charts together. Chart geometry and titles move into a settings file. The report internals are split into the sentences it states, the sections it is built from, and the assembly that produces the document, so each can be checked on its own. The composed document is unchanged. ## 1.1.0 Replaced the reportlab/svglib renderer with HTML composed by `compose_report.py` and converted to PDF through the broker's wine2o2 (Gotenberg/Chromium). `build_story` and `ensure_deps` are gone; `build_html` is the new entry point, and figure validation now runs against the HTML directly. Charts are inline SVG laid out by Chromium instead of flattened reportlab Drawings, which fixes overlapping labels on the bar and trajectory charts. Neither `reportlab` nor `svglib` is installed at run time. ## 1.0.0 Added the initial workflow: draft composition and figure validation against crp-data.json, render to a draft PDF, an AUTHORIZE sign-off gate before any final document is written, and on approval a final PDF plus markdown carrying the Declaration and Sign Off section. 8/25/2026
