Why am I being invited to commit to an SBT?
A significant portion of your customer's environmental footprint lies in its supply chain (Scope 3 emissions). By encouraging suppliers (you) to set SBTs, your customer can significantly reduce their overall carbon footprint and contribute to global climate goals. SBTs provide a clear framework for measuring and tracking progress towards emissions reduction.

What is SBTi?
SBTi stands for Science Based Targets Initiative. It's an organisation that helps companies set ambitious emissions reduction goals aligned with the latest climate science.
Why are SBTi targets important?
Our planet is warming, and scientists say we need to drastically reduce greenhouse gasses to avoid dangerous climate change. SBTi targets help companies cut their emissions significantly, contributing to a healthier planet.
How does the SBTi work?
Companies collaborate with the SBTi to set goals that align with limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, ideally 1.5 degrees Celsius, as outlined in the Paris Agreement. SBTi considers factors like a company's industry, size, and current emissions to set realistic but ambitious reduction targets.
